Egg Roll in a Bowl

Egg Roll in a Bowl, all the flavors of an egg roll, without the wrapper. It's a grain free, and low-carb lovers dream. Easy, quick, and delicious!

Browned ground pork, onion, cabbage, carrots, garlic, ginger, and my soy free soy sauce are sauteed together, to create a delicious egg roll bowl, that incorporates all the flavors of an egg roll, without the wrapper. Add some cauli-rice on the side, and in less then 30 minutes you can have a yummy Asian themed meal on the table, that is grain free as well as low-carb. Bonus points for being able to cook it all up in one pan.

Egg Roll in a Bowl


1 pound ground pork
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 small head cabbage, shredded
1 large carrot, shredded
1/4 cup chopped green onion, plus extra for garnish
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger
1/3 cup No-Soy Soy Sauce


Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Brown the ground pork and seasoned salt, stirring often, until pork is cooked through. Remove from pan, leaving the drippings.
Reduce heat to medium low and add the cabbage, carrot, onion, and garlic to the drippings. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the browned pork back to the pan with the cabbage mixture, along with the ginger and soy sauce.
Simmer for 10 minutes more, stirring occasionally.
Garnish with additional chopped green onion, and serve with Cauli-rice.

Notes: If your really short on time, you can substitute a bag of coleslaw mix for the cabbage and carrots.
